Privacy
Last updated June 2026
Soya is built to keep your meetings private. The short version: your meetings are yours. We don’t sell your data, and we don’t use your content to train models. Below is exactly what happens with what.
Recordings and transcription
Soya captures your microphone and the meeting audio to transcribe what’s said into the meeting transcript. We don’t sell your recordings or use them to train models.
Enhancing your notes
When you enhance a meeting, Soya sends the meeting transcript and the notes you jotted to an AI model to write the clean summary, then sends nothing further. The content isn’t stored after the summary is returned, and it isn’t used to train models. If you never enhance a meeting, that text isn’t sent anywhere.
Anonymous usage analytics (optional)
To understand which features are used and where the app can improve, Soya can send anonymous usage events, for example that a meeting started or that enhancement succeeded. These contain no recording, transcript, note, title, or attendee content, only structure and coarse counts, tied to a random device identifier rather than to you.
This is on by default and you can turn it off at any time in Settings under Privacy. It is processed by PostHog on our behalf.
Your account
Soya requires an account. You sign in with Google or with an email link; there is no password. We store your email address and a basic account record, nothing else. Authentication is handled by Supabase on our behalf. If you sign in with Google, Google shares only your name and email address with us.
What we never do
- Sell your data or share it with advertisers.
- Use your meeting content to train models.
- Put ads or third-party ad trackers in the app.
Your choices
Turn off analytics anytime in Settings. Delete your meetings from within the app. To delete your account or request its data, email [email protected].
