THE STUDIO

AI-native tools, built end to end.

BlendPixel builds AI-native productivity and creative tools. We pick problems we run into ourselves and design, build, and ship the whole product: the model, the interface, and the details in between.

Modern AI sits at the core of every app, but it stays in service of the work. Soya transcribes on-device, Listval runs on Apple Intelligence, and your data stays on your machine wherever it can.

WHAT WE MAKE

The catalog.

Four AI-native apps across Mac, Windows, iOS, and Chrome.

HOW WE WORK

Simple, focused, shipped.

01

Do one thing well.

Every app has a single job and a short path to done. No feature bloat, no enterprise complexity, nothing to configure before it helps.

02

AI that earns its place.

Modern AI sits at the core of every product, but only where it makes the work faster or better, never for its own sake.

03

Private by default.

We keep your data on your machine when we can. Soya transcribes on-device with a cloud LLM for the summary; Listval runs on Apple Intelligence.

FOUNDER

Aza Ali

Aza Ali, founder of BlendPixel

Aza Ali is the founder of BlendPixel, which he started in January 2025 in the San Francisco Bay Area to build the kind of software he wanted to use. He has shipped four products end to end: Orbit, a Chrome extension for organic Instagram growth; Retina, a cinematic screen recorder for the Mac; Soya, a privacy-first AI meeting assistant that transcribes on device; and Listval, an iOS task manager built around your values.

Before BlendPixel he spent a decade in product management, most recently as a senior product manager at aKumoSolutions, and before that building analytics products for capital markets teams at PFM. He writes about the craft of shipping small, focused software on the BlendPixel blog.
